Bio

Sarah Finucane is a contemporary abstract artist whose work blends structured design with raw, intuitive expression. Based in Connecticut after nearly two decades in LA, she brings a creative director’s clarity to a deeply personal practice. Her background in advertising and tech—leading campaigns for Fortune 50 brands—trained her to communicate through composition, balance, and tone. Those instincts now run through her artwork, where a visual language takes the place of literal messaging. Her art has been featured in Vogue and selected by Anthropologie’s curators. Collected internationally, her pieces often sell before they’re finished, and her commissions book out months in advance.

She is currently seeking gallery representation that aligns with her vision and can amplify the momentum she’s built independently. She isn’t just looking for representation—she’s looking for a partner who can push her work even further.

Statement

For me, art is about connection—turning nothing into something that feels alive and expressive. My work sits between two impulses: the part of me that craves freedom, spontaneity, and play, and the part shaped by design thinking, drawn to structure and concept. That tension is where the work finds its shape.

A concept doesn’t always lead the way, but one usually emerges. And once it does, it becomes a guide—limiting choices in a way that’s strangely freeing. Symbols, color, and emotional rhythm follow, adding layers that feel both personal and open-ended.

I’m not interested in dictating meaning. I want the work to create resonance—giving the viewer room to form their own narrative and emotional connection.
