Chinoiserie, a hazy field of wild blue flax flowers, lyrics, a silhouette and hexagons floating upwards toward dynamic lines of spray paint… Each quadrant was created in isolation from the other and later combined spontaneously with straight pins. Finally, committing the unusual combination of color, pattern, line, focus and texture with my sewing machine and thread. This piece is emphasizing the beauty in the unexpected situations that arise when we take new risks.
