Harvest Moon

$5,750.00

60x48x1.5” Acrylic, mixed media collaged on unframed canvas.

After you harvest fennel flowers, they wilt immediately. I'm using the fennel flower as a symbolic reminder to seize the day, or your favorite season (mine is fall). In an expression of gratitude, the typography spells out "I O U.".

A yummy orange-raspberry shade is welcoming and warm. The light purplish-gray color is whimsical and dreamy. It has a soft, relaxing spiritual sensibility, casting both gray and lavender depending on the lighting. Its perfect for any space that could use a touch of ethereal sophistication. This time of year, the angle of light changes, hence the sky blue color. Savannah green and classic ochre illuminate the right edge.

With geometric laser print transfers of diamonds and morse code, the artwork is given a graphic quality that is contrasted with distressed paint and gestural sgraffito, in which the top layers of acrylic paint are scratched away to reveal the layers of color beneath.

You can have the piece shipped free in the USA, un-stretched and rolled in a tube (once it arrives, it can be re-stretched at a local frame shop). It will have to be crated and quoted based on your unique location if you want the piece shipped stretched.
