This one started back in 2022 — a painting I couldn't resolve. I masked off the bits I loved, painted over the rest in the mushroom tone, and then added many new layers, developing its history. Taking what is needed and leaving the rest to keep growing. This piece carries that same intention — excavated surprises, made new again, with more still waiting underneath. A painting that regenerates rather than depletes. The kind of piece that feels good to live with, because it's proof that good things come to those who are patient and persistent.
